Teaching starts again

The start of a new teaching semester this morning, with 39 of the 70 enrolled students turning up for the class (so where were the other 31?)

I see that 12 months ago, start of second semester 2011, I proposed renaming the module either Virtual Worlds Development and Strategy or Virtual Worlds in Education, Business, and Government.  But, of course, with the hassle involved in doing that (it would mean closing this module and launching a brand new module, with the time-wasting business of validation and new course code), it’s easier to simply leave it as it is.

    The hassle would probably pay off in the long run. ‘Virtual Reality’ alone sounds like an easy A 🙂 ‘Virtual Worlds in Education, Business, and Government’ sounds seriously and might make students at least look through the syllabus before enrolling for the module. The less hassle for the teacher later, hopefully.
