A month or so ago I assumed full control over solipCISM, and today I renamed the region LearningWorks, transferring ownership from Algy Morpork to Khoisan Fisher. Operationally and strategically this is a good move: it gives me complete control over the sim, it harmonises ownership with content creator (I’ve built 99.9% of all content on the sim), it harmonises region name with that of my web site LearningWorks.org and so provides a unified multi-platform framework for further developments in Internet-based distance learning … and, by heck, LearningWorks is a far more meaningful name than solipCISM.
Now we can start getting serious! More to follow …

Agreed, solipCISM was a bit cryptic. On the other hand, to me, LearningWorks is by a tiny bit too close to DreamWorks or WordPress. Anyway, now it describes its purpose immediately.
Looking forward to reading new articles on your sites. I’d found them very inspiring so far.
Thanks for the encouraging comment, Anton. The next VR class begins at the end of this month, and I’m much looking forward to trying out some innovative new activities (including more extensive teaching through SL itself). You’d always be welcome to join the class again!
